Support Your Pregnancy Glow

Aug 22, 2022

I have shared time and time again that skin is truly an inside job, but what we put on the outside matters

too! Especially throughout your pregnancy.

Small acts of self-care and beautifying rituals can be a great way to relax and celebrate your feminine

energy. The good news is you probably have most of the ingredients you need for glowing skin in your

kitchen and pantry, and if you would like additional skin healing support, enjoy our coupon code and

pregnancy safe product recommendations for one of our favorites, Living Libations, below!

What makes for simple yet effective skincare at home? To name a few: topical raw honey as a face mask,

aloe vera gel (while best avoided internally during pregnancy*, aloe is very supportive for skin and can

still be used topically to prevent stretch marks. If you’re still wanting to avoid aloe, you can also use a

silica rub on your belly too), sovereign silver as a face toner, and coconut oil combined with coconut

sugar for a gentle body scrub. Remember, using oils topically is not the same as ingesting oils—they are

not processed by the liver. Certain oils used topically can be wonderful for the skin!

Enjoy this DIY nourishing face mask recipe with ingredients you have on hand:

DIY Honey Glow Mask

Ingredients:

– 1 tablespoon banana

– 1 tablespoon avocado

– 1 tablespoon raw honey

– 1 capsule Vimergy Micro C capsule (optional)

How to:

Combine banana, avocado, honey, and the contents of 1 Vimergy Micro C capsule into a bowl then mix

and mash together with a fork. Apply your mask to freshly cleansed skin, and rinse after 10-20 minutes.

Why are these ingredients effective?

Bananas – Hydrate, firm, and brighten the skin. They are 76% water and are packed with vitamins such

as vitamins C and B6 and minerals such as potassium, copper, and manganese.

Avocado – Supports elasticity, soothes, and nourishes dry skin. Avocados contain oleic acid that fights

inflammation. They are a wonderful ingredient to protect your skin’s moisture barrier and condition the

skin.

Honey – Gently exfoliates, fights breakouts, and is loaded with antioxidant benefits. Honey is very

antibacterial and wonderful for redness, damaged skin, and breakouts. Raw honey repairs DNA and

is extremely high in minerals and antioxidants to fight signs of aging and keep your skin radiant.

Vitamin C – Lightens & brightens (including dark spots), protects and promotes collagen production.

Vitamin C is most stable in powder form and has just as many topical antioxidant benefits topically as

they do within.
