The Benefits of Cleansing for Mental Health
New Year, New Health Solutions
So it’s 2022, and we’re still on the same wild ride we’ve been on for almost 2 years—and we’re experiencing all of this on top of the typical ups and downs in life! We can only hope that normalcy is headed our way at some point, but I’m here to say—and let’s not delay—there has never been a better time to prioritize taking ownership of your health!!
Let’s talk about cleansing!
A great way to take the driver’s seat and gain/regain control of your health is to participate in a cleanse. I’m well aware that when the topic of cleansing comes up, some people picture a strict liquid diet (maple syrup and cayenne pepper perhaps?), and some picture practically starving or restricting their meals to only “boring” or bland foods for an extended period of time.
The truth is that there are a lot of different ways to cleanse or “reboot,” and they definitely don’t have to be tasteless or boring!
Without a doubt, the first step in moving forward with a cleanse is to stop thinking of all the things you CAN’T or SHOULDN’T eat, and to begin to recognize the value in food as nourishment for our cells.
Knowing that greens have the ability to flush pathogens and toxins out of the body and that fruit remineralizes your body is POWERFUL!
So is the understanding that proper hydration and movement assists your skin, lungs, lymphatic system, kidneys, liver, and colon in eliminating poisons and unwanted symptoms—wow!!
Our bodies are up against a lot! If we can support our bodies by increasing the helpful foods and simultaneously reducing or eliminating (at least temporarily) the harmful foods, we are truly setting ourselves up for healthier days!
Keeping the blood thinner with more fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens and lower fat is the only way to stand a chance of detoxing the toxins our bodies create as natural byproduct and waste from their internal processes, never mind detoxing the outside toxins we’re exposed to on a daily basis. -Anthony William
Anthony has also shared that “when the liver is sluggish from fat, the heart must pump harder. A fat-filled bloodstream also minimizes oxygen, allowing pathogens to thrive.” It should definitely be #goals to do what we can to keep our hearts steady, oxygen maximized, and pathogens low—and we can work toward these goals by detoxing.
The Under-Appreciated Benefits of Cleansing (for Mental Health)
Certainly when thinking about cleansing, it is easy to see how this process could improve our physical body systems such as digestion, but did you know that cleansing and detoxing can also have a great impact on your mental well-being?
By allowing our bodies to detox, we are also able to address emotional symptoms including overwhelm and anxiousness.
When anxiety interferes with your life, it’s caused by toxic heavy metals (such as mercury, aluminum, and copper), viruses (such as one of over the 60 varieties of Epstein-Barr virus or one of the over 30 varieties of shingles virus), or a combination of both toxic heavy metals and viruses. As the neurotoxins and dermatoxins from these viruses leave the body, symptoms such as depression and anxiety start to subside over time. -Anthony William
Being a parent, a sibling, a friend, an employee, and so much more all involves so much stress! Most of us are looking for ways to bring down the stress levels so we can tackle our daily to-dos. Allowing our bodies to reboot is a great way to assist our bodies in dealing with that stress. I also talk more about additional ways to naturally improve your mental health and well-being in my post, How to Improve Mental Health Naturally.
Join Us for an 8 Day Reboot!
Let’s face it, by choosing wisely what we put in our bodies, we are ultimately prioritizing the investment of our health. It is, quite simply, our responsibility to be the best versions of ourselves and to teach others how to do the same. So how can we give the best of ourselves to others (our families, our jobs, our friends, our community, etc.) if WE are not feeling good?
Participating in a cleanse or a reboot is a way to get us back on track. Having my support and the support of my team to help guide you on a path that is right for YOU is a way to also reduce the worry that can come along with not knowing where or how to start.
I invite you to jump into the new year with the my 8 Day Reboot starting Friday, January 21st!
Join our group for daily support and motivation, complete with daily meal plans, shopping lists, recipes, eight days of mini-lessons, and video recaps.
There is an option to follow the Reboot as designed, or, use this as the beginning of the 28-day cleanse or 3-6-9.
Use the foundational principles within this Reboot to keep going long-term.
This is also a chance to get your questions answered and have direct support from me and my team via our private new community.
